Wills' life (a quick synopsis thus far)... the 1st 11 months
We'll start with Wills. Born July 9, 2007. A hefty 10lbs. 11oz. For those of you who don't know anything about birth weights, trust me, he was big. I couldn't be more grateful for the last minute c-section! :) Anyway, here are a few pics of the last 11 months. I can't believe how this first year has flown. Everyone always says it will, but no one can ever prepare you for how fast. So, an ode to the last 11 months... (following in the next few posts)
July 9, 2007 - The arrival of Wills
So after a long day of labor, I finally had a c-section. If I'd known how big he was going to be, I would have begged for a c-section, so it all worked out. And there he was... all 10lbs 11oz & 22 1/2 inches of him (no, there are no typos in those numbers). And we fell immediately and completely in love...

July 8, 2007 - No, that's not a basketball under my shirt
This is right before we left for the hospital on July 8, 2007 (the day before Wills was born). I'm posting this for all of you mothers and mothers-to-be out there who feel like you're the largest human being in the world when pregnant. You're not... because I was. I think the only people who could top me definitely had multiples. And for the record, it's not just my opinion that I was the largest pregnant woman you've ever seen - everyone who saw me told me so. :) I was stopped a minimum of 10x a day on the street with comments like, "How many are in there?" and "Holy cow, shouldn't you be at the hospital?" - and that was when I was 7 months pregnant. :) So to help you know that there's always someone out there larger than you... :) Honestly, I don't even think these pictures do my size justice, but you get the idea. And I laugh, so you should too.

Our attempt at a family blog... no guarantees!
So we're finally starting a blog for a few reasons:
1. We want to copy all of our cool friends.
2. I just don't have enough to do in a day.
3. This is yet another good excuse for me to not exercise. (I hope Brooke doesn't read this one.)
4. We want our family and friends to know that we really did have a kid - at this point it could just be a rumor.
